I am braided and I am from Westeros!

There are a few things that keep me busy these past days aside from taking care of my family;

1. Braiding - Inspired by Emilia Clarke's hairstyle in GoT (Game of Thrones) I researched on the kind of braid she is wearing in the show. I watched a few videos on how to do it and practice doing the same to my daughter. I felt triumphant after a few tries. Now, my princess wears her hair in varied ways to school thus making a fad among her classmates. I can just imagine them styling each others hair during their free time. I hope to learn more styles and add them to my list below;

-Waterfall Braid
-Chinese Staircase
- Twist
- Magnet
-Waterfall Ladder
-Faux Braid

2. So it is obvious, if I got this recent interest from Daenerys' hairstyles, then the show must have all the influence on me. GAME OF THRONES has so much to offer both from those who are reading or watching the story. It is a fantasy series by HBO but it seems that you are watching a movie. The book will also get you hooked page by page and the author George R. R. Martin makes each character compelling. You can never predict how the characters will evolve because of  the dynamism injected on them.

Cool to Homeschool

Does she have a problem? or Is she a TV personality? How's her socialization skills?

Just few questions I usually encountered whenever I inform someone that my child is being home schooled. That was three years ago, and not a single moment that I regret this decision. When my daughter finally entered a regular school she is armed with confidence to do her academic tasks and extra-curricular activities as well. Her self-esteem is high and unbreakable. She knows what she is good at and acknowledges what needs to be polished or improved. I owe this all to Homeschooling. I have said time and again that if you fail to breastfeed your child during the infant stage then you can make it up through homeschooling. It is definitely the next best thing to bond with your child.

Homeschooling is a blessing or must I say is a gift from God. When you have doubts about sending your child to regular school and you feel you can be his teacher as well then why not. Follow you instincts and you may discover a very rewarding experience for the whole family.
