The walk from the lounge to the tube was an experience to remember, every step brings us closer to our adventure. The plane did not leave as scheduled we waited for around thirty minutes but the extended time allowed more fun for the group. The plane ride was comfortable with a short turbulence which my daughter, Kaila gaily called a "CLOUD RIDE". She screamed with gusto and happiness imagining it was a great rollercoaster ride.Despite the delay on our departure, we landed on time in Iloilo airport, we were all awed by how modern the place is and indeed it is an international airport. We waited for some minutes to retrieve our baggages while doing so Kaila kept on bugging her cousins if they have seen any lifeform outside.
Going to the city proper was very easy, there are vans, cabs and shuttle services that can transport you to your destination. Since we are a big group of eight, we decided to hire a van for Php500 from the airport to our hotel. A small group can take a cab for less than Php300 to any point in the city proper. It was a discovery ride for us and the children, they were fascinated by the bigger form of jeepneys as compared to the ones in Metro Manila. We conveniently arrived to our hotel and we only freshened up a little and put down our backpacks and we headed to fun, fun, fun!

First stop is to have our lunch in Roberto's Siopao, located in JM Basa St. The place was full of customers when we arrived and we needed to wait for some minutes to get a table good for eight. We ordered their King Siopao, Pancit Sotanghon while some of the children opted for their plates of chicken and meatball with rice. We were bit saddened by their announcement that the Queen Siopao will be available only from May17-22 (we will be in Roxas City, Capiz by then).
